The emotional health and well-being of adults who work with young people is one of the most important factors in effectively supporting youth. With limited resources, a shortage of workers, increased trauma with youth and increasing support needed for youth, the demand is taking a toll on our workforce. Adult providers need healing too. Healing-centered engagement requires that we consider how to support adult providers in sustaining their own healing and well-being in an effort to ensure they can continue to do their jobs well.
The Thrive Healing Summit provided an opportunity to prioritize the healing and well-being of those whose occupations often require them to put others’ needs before their own. Whether you're a helper, healer, educator or caregiver, each moment of the summit was designed with YOU in mind! To all of those working directly to support youth, families or other individuals in our community, this was an opportunity to prioritize your own health, wellness and healing.

Lisa Weber
The intention for the 30-minute yoga class will be for Lisa to help take the edge off the fast-paced and high-tempo work environment that corporate culture reinforces. Lisa will provide participants tools to manage stress, cultivate mindfulness while using yoga-based breathing, meditation and relaxation. Lisa will guide you through some very gentle postures designed for all levels of fitness. She encourages you to come as you are and your body and practice will meet you there. This session will be an opportunity to slow down, tune in and connect with yourself to provide some healing energy and nourishment, which is vital to your health and wellness. You will begin your practice on your back. Feel free to use a blanket underneath your head as a pillow. Yoga mat is optional, not a requirement.
Lisa Weber is a Yoga Alliance registered yoga teacher
through Northern California Yoga Institute and has been teaching since 2009. Lisa's teaching style is deeply rooted in alignment-based principles blending classical yoga and meditation practices with contemporary exercise science and fitness methods to establish optimal health, wellness, fitness and spiritual awareness. Her classes are a playful mix of dynamic vinyasa flow integrating alignment, core work, breathing techniques as well as basic entry-level poses. She encourages students to find the balance between ease and effort, strength and surrender in each sequence. Lisa teaches that yoga is more than poses, it’s a mindset helping us navigate the highs and lows of the daily grind. It’s good for our mental health and wellness and helps us navigate the complexity of the human condition.
