Vanessa Sundin

Vanessa has lived in the North Valley, off and on, for more than 30 years. She is a partner with Johnston, Kinney & Zulaica LLP, which is a boutique law firm focusing in estate planning, probate and trust administration and litigation, family law and tax law. JKZ is based in San Francisco with an office in Chico. Previously, Vanessa ran her own trusts and estates firm, Sundin Law Office, before wrapping it into JKZ in 2019.

This is Vanessa’s second stint on the NVCF board. Additionally, she previously served as a board member, as well as treasurer then co-chair, of Stonewall Alliance of Chico, and has also volunteered with Butte Humane Society. In law school, Vanessa was a member, and eventually co-chair, of the Queer Law Student Association, a member of the National Lawyers Guild and a law clerk for the National Center for Lesbian Rights
