Story Makers Fund

The fund purpose is to assist in the establishment of Story Makers as a nonprofit legal entity. Story Makers will bring a nonprofit community writing hub to Chico, offering free writer's workshop sessions to children, teens, and adults.

C.S. Lewis brilliantly said: "You can make anything by writing." At Story Makers, we believe this to be true on so many levels. Now more than ever, students need support, positive mentors, a creative outlet, and a sense of purpose and belonging. Writing provides a pathway to all of this and more. Story Makers is geared toward students age 5-18, as well as adults in the community. Our writing workshops will cover dozens of different themes and genres, and they will be completely free to those registered. Workshops will be taught by educators, industry professionals, and CSUC students.
