Soroptimist International Bidwell Rancho Support Fund

We are a charter of Soroptimist International which is a worldwide volunteer organization working to improve the lives of women and girls. While working locally here in Chico, SI Bidwell Rancho supports the Soroptimist mission; To provide women and girls with access to the education and training they need to achieve economic empowerment.

We do this through our Dream Programs

• Live Your Dream Awards: assists women who provide the primary source of financial support for their families by giving them the financial resources they need to improve their education, skills and employment prospects.

• Dream It Be It: career support for girls in secondary school, through education and access to role models, girls will be empowered to pursue their career goals and reach their full potential.

• Together Against Human Trafficking: Our Anti Trafficking committee works to increase the public’s awareness of human trafficking in our area, including the presence of sex trafficking of minors in Butte County. We also raise funds to train clinicians in our area that provide education and support to youth that may be trafficked or are trafficking survivors.

Note to donors: North Valley Community Foundation (NVCF) provides this page for the convenience of the charitable organization noted above. Donors are provided an electronic tax receipt by NVCF shortly after the donation is made. An administrative fee of 5% is deducted from the donation as well as the fee charged by the card processing company, and the net amount is sent to the charitable organization not later than 30 days after the end of the month in which the donation is made.
