Fund Purpose
High Desert State Prison D Yard Book Club is a book club with a mission to facilitate meaningful conversations around race, ethnicity, class and gender. When selecting books we ensure to explore different cultures and discuss different views, opinions and experiences.

In addition to reading the books, participants write reflective essays and participate in group discussions at biweekly meetings.
