Amma Culture - Education, Sciences & Arts provides an exciting and colorful presentation and life-size pop-up history display for the general public to expand awareness of Foundational Black American, African Diaspora and Indigenous Black American history.
Since 2018, lifelong Chico resident, its founder and community educator, Anecia Johnson has shared her passion and knowledge at public schools, churches, university and college celebrations, as well as a variety of philanthropic and ethnic cultural activities. Also, Anecia, graduated from Chico State in 1987 with a bachelor's degree in Business Administration, International Business Option and works as a substitute teacher.
Amma Culture collaborates with other caring groups to elevate and foster true community. Dispelling ignorance is key.
Note to donors: North Valley Community Foundation (NVCF) provides this page for the convenience of the charitable organization noted above. Donors are provided an electronic tax receipt by NVCF shortly after the donation is made. An administrative fee of 5% is deducted from the donation as well as the fee charged by the card processing company, and the net amount is sent to the charitable organization not later than 30 days after the end of the month in which the donation is made. All amounts sent to the charitable organization are for its discretionary use.
