Portrait of Sandy Gonzalez, Care Team coach

Sandy Gonzalez

she/her

Hello! My name is Sandy and I grew up in Butte County. I love all our seasons and the fall is my favorite. I enjoy riding my bike at Bidwell Park, swimming and playing volleyball. I am a wife and mother to a 4-year-old daughter.

I graduated from Chico State with a degree in Recreation and Resort Lodging Management. I moved to Arizona after graduation and came back to Butte county. That experience taught me how much I love our community, weather and that I needed my support system around me. I would describe myself as a people person. I recharge by being around friends and family.

My recreation degree fits me well! I love to have fun and watch others learn new skills. Life can be
overwhelming and throw us many curve balls. One of my favorite quotes is “the journey of a thousand miles begins with one step.” When life is hard and challenging I remind myself to start small and break it down to smaller goals and wins. I look forward to working with you and your family and helping us find small wins.
