Portrait of Ama Posey, Care Team coach

Ama Posey

she/her

Hi! My name is Ama Posey. I am a mother of two kids, I am queer identifying and I work as a full time artist and abstract painter out of Chico and San Francisco. I hold a BFA in painting and drawing, as well as a BA in art education.

I worked for a developmental agency for young children for almost 10 years before I started an art school in March of 2020. My greatest passion is serving the youth in my community, especially those who are LGBTQ+ and those needing support in remembering their worth during times of hardship.

I have seen firsthand how art can save lives and can mold young people into being their most authentic, confident selves.
