The best planned giving program is a simple planned giving program. Whatever your organizations’ size or budget or mission or history is, you are just as likely to receive a planned gift if you can do a few simple things.

If you want to learn about gift annuities or charitable trusts, this workshop is NOT for you. If you are an “in the trenches” executive, fundraising or development staff person (or board member) and want some concrete steps you can take to start and sustain your planned giving program, this is for you.

The instructor for this class is Maureen Pierce. Over the past 30 years Maureen has worked with several non-profit organizations in the community including: the Feminist Women’s Health Center; Valley Oak Children’s Services, Parent Education Network, the Independent Adoption Center and was the founder of Adoption Choices of Northern California. Maureen joined the staff of the Boys & Girls Club of Chico in 1997 as the Development Director and soon moved into the position she holds today as Executive Director.

Maureen has led the organization through 10 years of growth, taking the club from one site in Chico serving 25 kids a day and an annual budget of $175,000 to seven sites throughout Chico, Paradise, Magalia and Oroville, over 700 youth and teens a day and an annual budget of $2.2 million.
