International Expert Offers Social Media Course

Chico, California (August 18, 2009) – Local nonprofit and business leaders have the opportunity to participate in a timely course facilitated by an international business leader, Susan Rice Lincoln. The topic will be “A Social Media Blueprint for Nonprofit Organizations.”

This course is provided by the Nonprofit Leadership Institute, a program of North Valley Community Foundation, on Friday, September 18, from 8:30-12:30. The cost for this unique opportunity is $60 for the four-hour session. The training is at the Training Place,  on the Chico Campus of Butte Community College, 2320 Forest Avenue.

Susan Rice Lincoln, the visiting speaker from France, is a communication strategist and expert with unparalleled international experience. After extensive experience in the offline world, she now specializes in online communications in general and Web 2.0 in particular. Her breakthrough book called “Mastering Web 2.0” was published internationally by Kogan Page in July 2009. Rice Lincoln’s book will be for sale at the course, courtesy of Lyon Books.
As one of the world’s experts in Web 2.0, Susan is particularly interested in clarifying internet issues for businesses and nonprofits who are ‘lost’ in the jargon and just want simple, straightforward, strategic decisions. Although especially geared for the nonprofit sector, Susan will address topics and introduce methods applicable to all businesses eager to utilize Web 2.0 to interact with their customers.

“Susan Rice Lincoln Is The 'Female David Ogilvy'...  The comparison with Ogilvy is justified by her wide-ranging experience at all levels of advertising, commitment to all-round excellence, ability to look beyond the obvious, and thus produce outstanding results for her clients... Susan's reputation is second-to-none...”
