Seminar / Training Address:
<br /> The best planned giving program is a simple planned giving program.  Whatever your organizations’ size or budget or mission or history is, you are just as likely to receive a planned gift if you can do a few simple things.  If you want to learn about gift annuities or charitable trusts, this workshop is NOT for you.  If you are an “in the trenches” executive, fundraising or development staff person (or board member) and want some concrete steps you can take to start and sustain your planned giving program, this is for you. Maureen Pierce has led the Boys and Girls Club through 10 years of growth, taking the club from one site in Chico serving 25 kids a day and an annual budget of $175,000 to seven sites throughout Chico, Paradise, Magalia and Oroville, over 700 youth and teens a day and an annual budget of $2.2 million. Currently Maureen is working with her 36-member board to launch three new initiatives, including:  environmental sustainability; the arts; and planned giving. She is also working closely with the law enforcement community on gang-related issues and on expanding programs and services to Oroville youth. Class will be at The Training Place, Room 107, Chico Campus, Butte Community College.
